Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant will miss Friday night's game against Boston because of a sore left ankle. Durant had been a game-time decision, but a Thunder spokesman said about an hour before tipoff that Durant would not play. Durant took a couple of hard falls in Wednesday night's game against Houston, but did not leave that game.

Coach Scott Brooks struck a chord to get the Oklahoma City Thunder playing better together on offense. He told his players that all they had to do to earn a day off was get 20 assists against the Houston Rockets. The plan worked so well that Kevin Durant and some of the Thunder's other starters started their time off a little early.

Oklahoma City forward Jeff Green was out of the Thunder's lineup against the Houston Rockets because of a sprained left ankle. Green sat out Wednesday night for the fifth time in six games. He missed three games before attempting to come back in a loss to San Antonio on Sunday night, and sat again in Oklahoma City's win over Utah on Monday.
