The Oklahoma City Thunder assigned 7-foot center Steven Hill to their NBA Developmental League affiliate in Tulsa. Hill signed as a free agent earlier this month after he didn’t make the Portland Trail Blazers’ roster out of training camp. He has played in one game for the Thunder, scoring two points and grabbing three rebounds in the closing 2 minutes against Orlando.

The Los Angeles Clippers turned in exactly the sort of performance Oklahoma City coach P.J. Carlesimo feared. Carlesimo spoke before the game Wednesday night about the Clippers’ talent and the challenges that come with meshing so many new players as they are trying to do. “There’s no question what they’re capable of doing,” he said.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Desmond Mason will miss about 10 days with a sprained right elbow. Mason, a reserve averaging 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds, said Monday night that he hurt the elbow in the Thunder’s third game of the season against Minnesota and it flared up worse after their game Friday against the New York Knicks.
